I’m reading…
I’m currently renewing my acquaintance with some of the books by John Heron, who was a pioneer of humanistic and transpersonal education. He struck up alliances with (amongst others) Peter Reason and John Rowan, if you’ve come across them.
I was at a workshop recently which looked at Heron’s Six Category Intervention Analysis – it sounds dry as dust, but for me is a great framework to help my work with organisations and individuals be more elegant, more effective and more playful.
Six Category Analysis is explored in Helping the Client, Sage Publications, 1990.
The Complete Facilitator’s Handbook (Kogan Page 2000) is a great resource.
His Feeling and Personhood: Psychology in another key Sage 1992 explores some key ideas about understanding the human condition and human development (I wrote a Tour of this book; the first chapters can be found here (sixth resource down). And Confessions of a Janus Brain, Endymion Press 1987, is a fascinating account of experiences beyond the five senses.
